Membership Committee Meeting
***Reminder***
The Membership Committee will be meeting on Tuesday, July
18th at the Frat House at 6:30pm. We will make a decision on
intake for Spring 2007 as well as begin preparations for the
monthly/quarterly reclamation activities, finalize the
committee fair, and new brother orientation. Please be on
time so that we can start and finish in a timely manner.

"Gathering of Eagles"
Brothers of Alpha
As we continue with the plans to make your Centennial
Convention an experience that you will never forget, our
General President has directed me to call for a "Gathering
of Eagles." As a part of our National Initiative with Boy
Scouts of America, I have worked with Brothers George Randle
and Brother David Tyson the Co-Chairs of our Boy Scout
Alliance Committee to plan this event.
All Brothers who have attained the rank of Eagle Scout are
invited to a Private Reception on Saturday, July 29th, 3:30
- 5:00pm in Suite 9021 at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel,
Center Tower. This is a Brothers Only - Eagle Scouts Only
event. Bring proof for entry!

"Stepping Call"
Hello Everyone!
For those that have been asking, the time has come! If you
are interested in becoming a part of the BNL Stepteam,
please send me an email at chaz.minter@wachovia.com or call
my cell (704-756-9629) by July 20th. After all responses are
collected, more information will follow in regards to
specifics (a meeting, possible try-outs, a schedule, etc.).

Special Announcement: BNL Excursion to the Centennial
Celebration - DEADLINE FOR DEPOSIT
Brothers,
Per the attached message below, we have received a lot of
favorable responses from brothers who wish to join us for
the bus trip to our Centennial Celebration in Washington,
D.C. The deadline to submit your deposit for the trip was
June 23, 2006. However, due to the favorable responses, the
deadline will be extended to 07/07/06. We are asking
brothers to be proactive and mail your deposits to the
address listed below before the 07/07/06 deadline. If you
have any questions, please contact Bro. T. Brian George at

In preparation and anticipation of our Centennial
Celebration in Washington D.C., the Executive Committee
along with the brotherhood of the Beta Nu Lambda Chapter of
Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. is extending an opportunity
to ride with us via chartered bus to Washington D.C.
This chartered opportunity is warmly extended to any brother
and his family who wish to avoid the hassle of driving a
vehicle, paying for gas, and paying for parking fees while
in Washington D.C during our Centennial Celebration.
Attached, you will find a registration form for this trip.
The cost of the chartered excursion is $115 per person. The
fee can be paid in two installments. A down-payment of
$57.50 ($25 is non-refundable) will be due on or before June
23, 2006 in order to reserve a seat on the bus. The
remaining balance of $57.50 will be due on or before July
14, 2006. Payments along with the registration form should
be mailed to:

We will depart from our fraternity house (5639 Beatties Ford
Rd. Charlotte, NC.) on Tuesday, July 25, 2006 and return on
Sunday, July 30, 2006. We have attached a copy of the
itinerary for our trip. This endeavor was planned in mind
for our brothers who reside in Charlotte, Gastonia,
Salisbury, Rock Hill, Greensboro, and Raleigh-Durham. We
hope that you will join us for what will be a very special
and exciting time in the history of our great fraternity.

Brothers,
I will make myself available this Wednesday from 12-2pm in
the Atrium (Uptown) to collect the t-shirt order forms,
money and show the designs available (new polo design will
be shown).

T-Shirt Sales- TIME EXTENSION!!!
Brothers,
As shown during the General Meeting on June 12, 2006, the
designs for the polo shirt and the ringer tee shirt are on
sale now. You were handed Order Forms last night that need
to be filled out and turned back to me, either in person or
faxed, along with the total fee by no later than 7pm Friday,
June 30, 2006.
Due to the request of the designer, Bro. Dexter Zimmerman, I
cannot copy, scan or fax the designs that were shown to you
during the meeting.
- Remember, polo (white) shirts are $30 per shirt (there
will be minor changes to the design of the greek letters BNL
to the same size and ALPHA standing alone), ringer (white)
tees are $18 per shirt and plain (white) tees are $15 per
shirt.
- There will be a 5% discount off the total purchase given
if both items are ordered. If two or more of the same item
are ordered there will be a 7.5% discount off the total
purchase.

I will be accepting and processing Announcement Requests
everyday this week. I understand that no one was aware of
the new schedule, therefore, the new schedule introduced in
yesterday's email will go into effect as of Monday June
26th. Thank you for your patience.
